About Kathryn

Kathryn Kennedy is the Supervisor of the Social Security Disability Appeals Council cases, Scheduling Team for Hearings, and holds other general staff supervisory positions. Kathryn is also a Legal Assistant coordinating disability case management and appeals.  She has been certified by the government to meet the requirements under the Social Security Disability Applicants’ Access to Professional Representation Act of 2010, Public Law No. 111-142.

Section 206 (e) of the Social Security Act (Act) Social Security Act §206 [42 U.S.C.406] (e) sets forth prerequisites that non-attorney representatives must satisfy – they  must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications, pass a written examination administered by the Social Security Administration,  undergo a criminal background check, and complete continuing education courses. She has worked in the legal field since 1997 handling social security disability, civil litigation, dependency, criminal, family, and bankruptcy.  She has an AS degree in Paralegal Studies Hodges University.
